3News has a little blurb up on the extreme popularity of music games ( like Guitar Hero, Rock Band and their knock-offs) - and their impact on the music industry and musicians. Basically, it’s a mainstream publication taking a look at how one genre of videogames has erupted and is now changing the business model for an entirely other (and formerly larger) industry.

It’s also incredibly cool how games - well, rhythm-music games - are revitalizing the staid music business. Who would’ve thought?
