mDisney teams up with Com2uS for mobile games

mDisney logomDisney, Disney’s mobile video game, graphics and ringtone division, has just announced that it is going to be publishing Com2uS developed, Disney-themed mobile games. The partnership was announced today (September 10, 2008), at the 2008 CTIA convention in San Francisco, California. So far only one game has been announced, Disney Puzzle Family, and it will be released before the end of September, 2008.

Disney Puzzle Family sounds like a standard puzzle game, but it also has some collection elements to it. It is actually a compilation of five different puzzles, each one representing a different member of the family mentioned in the title. By playing and excelling in the games, players can place on leaderboards, win against friends and customize their five family members with different Disney paraphernalia.

Disney Puzzle Family will be joining mDisney’s three other mobile games, Hannah Montana in Action, High School Musical and Mickey’s Mini Golf. mDisney has not yet announced what phones and devices will be able to run Disney Puzzle Family, or provided a price. The other three mDisney games are available through AllTel, AT&T, Bell, Sprint, TMobile and Verizon Wireless, so chances are Disney Puzzle Family will be as well. Similarly, all three other games cost $3.49 a month or $7.99 for unlimited use, so we may be able to infer Disney Puzzle Family will be in line with that pricing.
