Who doesn’t love the Angry videogame Nerd? Ok, maybe he’s not for everyone, but his angry, ridiculous, occasionally disgusting, always funny reviews of old and terrible games are among the most popular around. Next to Zero Punctuation, perhaps. And like Yahtzee, the angry nerd was sure to spawn a few crappy followers who mimic his style, but never re-create the magic.
Well, 411mania has a wonderful “hall of shame” entry on the lamest AVGN wannabes around. And there are some serious doozies on there, starting with what appears to be a horribly-synced video of a young boy swearing and weakly throwing game boxes around. His show is aptly titled “Good Bad Awful Video Game Reviews”. Then, we have a really young kid whining about Mortal Kombat - and he actually calls himself “The Angry Video Game Nerd” Very original. Finally, we have the shameless ripoff in the form of “The irate Gamer”. In any event, the whole list is full of videos worth their weight in pure comedy gold.
