Boogie Superstar global song list announced

The tracklist for EA’s forthcoming Boogie Superstar reads like a teenager’s, or Top 40 fan’s, iPod playlist. EA Games just revealed the global track list for the game, of songs which will be appearing on both US and foreign versions of the Wii game Boogie Superstar. The game’s spokesperson was also revealed to be Natasha Bedingfield, who will have three songs in the game.

I hate to admit this, but now all of these songs are that bad. Honestly, I have quite a few of them in iTunes, and last I checked I’m well past the teenage demographic EA’s trying to appeal to in Boogie Superstar. In fact, I’d even want to buy this game so I could sing along to songs like “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs,” “Love Like This,” “Nine in the Afternoon,” “Makes Me Wonder,” “Toxic” and “Stronger.”

The official Boogie Superstar tracklist from the press release is as follows:

  1. “Angel" Natasha Bedingfield
  2. “Love Like This [remix]” Natasha Bedingfield
  3. “Pocketful of Sunshine” Natasha Bedingfield
  4. “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” Paula Abdul
  5. “Bullseye" Aly & AJ
  6. “Like Whoa” Aly & AJ
  7. “Potential Breakup Song” Aly & AJ
  8. “The Great Escape” Boys Like Girls
  9. “Everytime We Touch” Cascada
  10. “What Hurts the Most” Cascada
  11. “Fancy Footwork” Chromeo
  12. “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs” Fall Out Boy
  13. “Glamorous" Fergie
  14. “Elevator" Flo Rida feat. Timbaland
  15. “I Don’t Want to Be in Love (Dance Floor Anthem)” Good Charlotte
  16. “Wake Up” Hilary Duff
  17. “Hold On” The Jonas Brothers
  18. “SOS" The Jonas Brothers
  19. “That’s Just the Way We Roll” The Jonas Brothers
  20. “When You Look Me in the Eyes [remix]” The Jonas Brothers
  21. “No One” Alicia Keys
  22. “Take You There” Sean Kingston
  23. “Girlfriend" Avril Lavigne
  24. “Bleeding Love” Leona Lewis
  25. “Shake It” Metro Station
  26. “What You Got” Colby O’Donis
  27. “I Don’t Think About It” Emily Osment
  28. “Nine in the Afternoon” Panic at the Disco
  29. “Hot N Cold” Katy Perry
  30. “Jump to the Rhythm” Jordan Pruitt
  31. “Don’t Stop the Music” Rihanna
  32. “Shut Up and Drive” Rihanna
  33. “Yahhh!" Soulja Boy Tellem
  34. “Radar" Britney Spears
  35. “Toxic" Britney Spears
  36. “He Said She Said” Ashley Tisdale
  37. “Makes Me Wonder” Maroon 5
  38. “Stronger" Kanye West

I mean really, if you can get past or endure the requisete Teen Disney stars like Hillary Duff, Jonas Brothers, Ashley Tisdale and Aly & AJ, then there are quite a few solid hits in the game. Perhaps Boogie Superstars won’t end up in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart like Boogie. When it comes out in October, 2008, I might just have to pick this up - especially since it comes with a microphone.
