Tired of clogging your USB ports with your SIXAXIS controllers and Bluetooth headsets? Tired of leaving your Playstation 3 on just to charge these accessories because you either lack a computer or just like to waste electricity? Well then, Sony has just the product for you.
Sony has announced an AC adapter that will charge two accessories at as time including SIXAXIS and DualShock 3 controllers, wireless headsets, or whatever other gadget you have that charges via USB. Dubbed the PS3 AC Adapter, this little gadget will allow users to charge their peripherals via a electrical outlet rather than having to clog up USB slots.
Now, users that need a little power in their controllers will no longer have to get up to plug them into their PS3’s using the rather short charging cable that came with the system.
While there is no word on whether or when it will come to North America, the adapter is slated to arrive in Japan just in time for Christmas (December 18, 2008) for 2,800 yen, approximately US$28.
