Punch-Out those Wii memory issues.

Wii Punch-Out
This is what happens when you’re out of town for a day. A massive amount of Nintendo news dropped yesterday, courtesy of a company press event… and here I was, on a road trip for a friend’s wedding.

Anyways, hardcore gamers are no longer getting le shaft from the big N. In one fell swoop, Ninty announced a solution to the Wii storage problem and a new Punch-Out game. GameDaily reported that Wii users will be able to download their content (like Virtual Console and WiiWare games, dlc for Rock Band, etc.) onto SD cards. The SD swapping fun begins in Spring 2009 - and while it may not be an ideal solution (a hard drive may have been better for big downloaders), it’s certainly a help.

Also announced was a Wii MotionPlus-enhanced new Punch-Out. If it’s anywhere near as good as the NES original, but with motion controls - it’ll be a must buy.

So, what do we think? Too little, too late, or are you already in training to capture virtual titles?
