Run your own Dairy Queen in DQ Tycoon

One part subliminal advertising and one part casual, time management sim, Dairy Queen Tycoon looks like the kind of title Lemonade Tycoon and Cake Mania fans will eat up. Spark Plug Games and GameMill Entertainment are currently working on DQ Tycoon for PCs, hoping to get the game ready in time for the crucial holiday shopping season. If development goes well, the Dairy Queen themed sim will be available in stores, online and through game portals on December 1, 2008. Hm - I wonder if Dairy Queens will sell it as well.

In DQ Tycoon, you run Dairy Queen restaurants. You make Blizzards, Dilly Bars, cakes and sundaes for customers, manage between one and four stores, hire staff and upgrade machines. Actually, now that I think about it, DQ Tycoon bears far more resemblence to Cake Mania, and seems nothing like Lemonade Tycoon.

I can understand free-to-play, flash games based on popular brands to get attention, but its been a long time since I’ve seen an actual game you purchase like that. I think the last one I heard about was that Mc Donalds Gameboy game.
